Emergency Shelter Construction for Returnees from Pakistan
Bayan News – The Kabul caretaker government has taken emergency measures to address the situation of returnees from Pakistan, and initial actions have been taken in this regard.
To address this issue, the caretaker government has dispatched a joint delegation consisting of six ministries to Nangarhar province.
Members of this delegation told reporters on Thursday, October 4th, that a camp will be established in Lalpor district of Nangarhar province to handle the returnees.
Fazlul Bari Fazli, a member of the delegation, stated, “If there are families who do not have guardians, heirs, and are vulnerable during the transfer, the Islamic Emirate is making efforts to construct temporary shelters for them in the Lalpor valley.”
Recently, the Pakistani government has given a short deadline to Afghan migrants who have entered the country illegally to leave Pakistani soil.
Islamabad claims that Afghan citizens are exposed to insecurity in the country.
Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, stated that Afghan citizens are not involved in attacks and also requested that the Pakistani government reconsider its decision.
