Ashraf Ghani reacted to the forced expulsion of Afghans by the Pakistani government

Bayan News – Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the fugitive President of Afghanistan, has reacted to the forced expulsion of Afghans by the Pakistani government and stated that when countries face social and economic crises, they tend to direct their sharp criticism towards migrants.

In a recorded audio message on Saturday, November 4th, Ghani said, “We must admit the bitter truth that when countries face social and economic crises, they often blame migrants and try to shift the burden onto them. This phenomenon is not limited to our region; it has global relevance.”

He emphasized that the current crisis is not limited to Pakistan and mentioned recent analyses indicating that the Afghan migrant population in Iran has doubled in the past two years, and the behavior of the Iranian government towards Afghan migrants has also changed.

Ghani continued to criticize the policies of the caretaker Kabul government in his message, stating that all current indicators suggest a serious and persistent situation. Without a proper solution, the situation will deteriorate further.

“In a society where the five fundamental principles of Islamic rights (the right to life, the right to religion, the right to property, social rights, and the right to intellect) are practically non-existent, the situation becomes more critical, leading to the issuance of oppressive decrees and the imposition of authoritarianism,” Ghani stated.

However, the forced expulsion of Afghans by the Pakistani government has further strained Kabul-Islamabad relations like never before.

Recently, senior officials of the caretaker Kabul government expressed their dissatisfaction, stating that Pakistan’s actions are beyond acceptable limits. Former Afghan politicians, including Hamid Karzai, Dr. Abdullah, and Hanif Atmar, have also criticized Pakistan’s move, considering it contrary to good neighborliness.
