Ahmad Massoud has traveled to Austria to participate in the third Vienna Conference
Bayan News – The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan has announced that Ahmad Massoud, the leader of the front, has traveled to Austria to participate in the third round of the Vienna Conference.
In a statement released by the front this morning, Monday, December 3rd, it was added that this conference is hosted by the Austrian Institute of International Affairs and invites opponents of the Islamic Emirate.
The agenda of this conference includes security issues in Afghanistan, human rights, women’s issues, and consensus among parties and groups. At the same time, discussions and exchanges of views will be held regarding the roadmap for Afghanistan’s political future.
The front’s statement states that the Vienna process is one of the important international conferences facilitated by the Austrian government, where representatives of parties, political figures, and civil society opposing the Islamic Emirate gather annually to discuss important national issues in Afghanistan.
In the past month, opponents of the Islamic Emirate gathered in Russia and Tajikistan to discuss Afghan issues.
The first conference, held in the second month of autumn, was attended by Ahmad Massoud, Mohammad Mohaqiq, Shukria Barakzai, Fawzia Koofi, and several other opponents of the Islamic Emirate.
Following this conference, the Herat Security Conference was also held in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, with the presence of these figures, where Ismail Khan, a member of the National Resistance Front, was present.
However, the authorities of the caretaker government in Kabul consider such conferences as detrimental to Afghanistan and emphasize that the burnt-out pieces of the previous government can only cause disturbances and can no longer do anything.
Senior officials of the current Kabul government have called on their opponents to declare a general amnesty and return to the country.
