Zardari: Individuals Released from Afghan Prisons Were Involved in Pakistan’s Insecurities
Bayan News – Three days after the deadly Taliban attack on Ismail Khan’s mosque in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the former Pakistani Foreign Minister, has reacted.
In a press conference, he added that individuals involved in terrorist activities in Pakistan were released from Afghan prisons after the establishment of the Islamic Emirate.
He further stated that the Pakistani government had always hindered the release of these individuals, but the events of three days ago were an example of that.
The responsibility for the deadly attack on Tuesday, in which nearly 30 Pakistani security personnel were killed, was claimed by the Pakistani Taliban.
Following the attack, the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Afghan Ambassador in Islamabad and demanded the extradition of the perpetrators of this attack to Pakistan.
However, officials from the caretaker Kabul government have stated that Pakistan’s insecurities have no connection to Afghanistan.
