Bayan News – In his latest remarks, President Joe Biden of the United States criticized the ongoing Israeli military attacks on the Gaza Strip, describing them as excessive.
Speaking at a press conference in the White House on Friday, February 8th, he added, “As you know, I believe the response in Gaza has been excessive.”
According to Biden, serious efforts have been made to establish a temporary ceasefire in Gaza in exchange for the release of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners.
These statements come at a time when the Israeli military has intensified its attacks in other parts, including Rafah, where over two million Palestinians have taken refuge.
Simultaneously, Israel has rejected Hamas’ ceasefire proposal.
According to reports, Hamas has offered Israel a four-month ceasefire, during which all Israeli hostages would be released, and the Israeli military would completely withdraw from Palestine.
