World Bank to provide $300 million in aid to Afghanistan

Bayan News – International media outlets have reported that the World Bank will provide $300 million in aid to Afghanistan.

According to Reuters, this money, which will be provided by the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank, will be used for assistance to the people of Afghanistan, away from Taliban control.

It is also stated that this assistance from the World Bank will be disbursed through United Nations-affiliated channels in various sectors of Afghanistan.

However, this is the first budget allocation by the World Bank for Afghanistan since the Taliban took control of the country.

Previously, over the past year, multiple reports have been published indicating that international aid is being utilized to benefit the Taliban and not reaching the needy individuals.

However, these reports have consistently been denied by the Taliban.
