Iran Deports Afghan Refugees for Celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr on Monday
Bayannews-5may2022
Iran has deported many Afghan refugees because of celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr in the country on Monday. Iran had earlier announced Monday as the 30th day of Ramadan, and Tuesday was declared Eid-ul-Fitr in the country.
According to footage, the Iranian government forces first detained them and then deported them as a punishment for celebrating Eid on Monday.
The celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr this year has been fraught with controversies among the Muslim nations. Many Islamic countries declared Monday as the first day of Eid ul-Fitr, and some declared Tuesday. However, the Taliban had declared Sunday Eid-ul-Fitr in Afghanistan.
With the rise of the Taliban in the country, numerous people immigrated to other countries, especially Pakistan and Iran, and the situation of immigrants is currently critical in these countries. The host countries have received a measurable sum of funds for supporting refugees, particularly Afghan refugees, but have so far fulfilled their obligations with respect to the funds they have received so far. The neighboring countries have always used the matter of refugees as a weak point against Afghanistan.
