Mohammad Javad Rahimi, an Afghan political activist in the United States, says he has presented a solution to women and girls’ access to their rights at the Democratic Committee for Peace in the Middle East.
Rahimi, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, said he participated in the committee on Wednesday (March 8) and addressed afghanistan’s peace process.
“I have proudly mentioned the heroes and achievements of Women and Girls of Afghanistan since March 8th and International Women’s Day,” she said in a statement on her official Facebook page.
Rahimi, meanwhile, has expressed the lack of access for women and girls to their basic rights, including work and education, and suggested political and financial pressures as one of the solutions.
Stating that he discussed the flaws in the political system as the root cause of the crisis in Afghanistan, he said he also answered questions from members of the Democratic Committee for Peace in the Middle East about the events in Afghanistan.
