Local officials in Parwan province said the body of a young woman was found from a river in Shinwari district of the province.
Mohammad Kamaran Zaid, a spokesman for parwan province’s police headquarters, said Saturday (April 8) that the woman’s body was found yesterday from the Ghorband River.
According to him, it is unclear how and by whom the young woman was killed.
He said thewoman’s body was transferred to justice medicine for further investigation.
A spokesman for the Parwan Provincial Police Headquarters also said that discovery agencies have begun their investigation to identify the perpetrator.
Mysterious deaths have increased in parts of Afghanistan over the past two years.
A while ago, the body of an 18-year-old girl from Kandahar province was also found.
