Afghan Customs Department announces 37% increase in revenues

Afghan finance ministry officials said that this year, revenues collected from last year represented a 37 percent increase.
“In fiscal year 1401, a total of 193 billion and 912 million Afghans collected revenues, which represents a 37 percent increase compared to the previous year,” Abdul Matin Saeed, director general of the Ministry of Customs, said sunday (April 9), presenting the ministry’s annual report at a press briefing. »
The Director General of the Customs Department also added that over the past year, more than 170 billion Afghanis worth of goods have been exported from the country and more than 590 billion Afghanis have been imported into the country.
The report comes as during the past years and before the islamic emirate’s dominance, most of the revenue collected by various institutions was a pity.
