Mujahid considered the Security Council’s report baseless and biased

Bayan news

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the caretaker government of Kabul, in response to the new report of the United Nations Security Council, said that the report contains baseless accusations against the Taliban.

He released a statement on Sunday morning (June 11) and said that this report is one-sided, unbalanced and far from the facts.

According to Mujahid, the publication of such reports and the continuation of sanctions by the Security Council against the caretaker government of Kabul are full of prejudice and conflict with the principles of independence and non-interference.

The spokesperson of the caretaker government of Kabul also pointed out that the claims of differences between the Taliban leaders, the existence of terrorist groups, involvement in drug trafficking and monopoly of power, are baseless, and the open hostility to the people of Afghanistan, the independent system, and the repetition of propaganda are pointless.

Mujahid then reacts that the previous day, the analysis and monitoring team of the United Nations Security Council’s Punishment Committee claimed in a report that the Taliban have returned to the 1990s with a monopoly on power.

In this report, it was stated that there is a difference between the Taliban leaders regarding how to divide positions in the government structure.
