Claim of selling leftover military equipment to America’s enemies; Mujahid: It’s not true

Michael McCaul, the chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the US House of Representatives, told CNN that the caretaker government in Kabul is selling leftover military equipment to Washington’s enemies such as Iran and Palestinians against Israel.
He criticized the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan and added that the Bagram military base should not have been abandoned, and the United States left over seven billion dollars worth of weapons in Afghanistan with its withdrawal.
Regarding Joe Biden’s recent remarks on suppressing Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, McCaul said, “It’s strange to me that a president is so unaware of his foreign policy.”
However, officials of the caretaker government in Kabul reject all of these allegations.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman for the caretaker government in a tweet, reacted to the chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the US House of Representatives’ statements and stated that these allegations are not true, and the Islamic Emirate rejects them.
He reminded that after the expulsion of foreign forces and the complete rule of the Islamic Emirate, all weapons, equipment, and means are kept in the country’s warehouses and no one is allowed to smuggle or sell even a single bullet.
Mujahid added, “Such propaganda is a deceitful and malicious campaign by circles of tension-seekers who cannot tolerate the stability and control prevailing in Afghanistan.”
This is not the first time such allegations have been made.
Previously, reports had been published that with the withdrawal of foreign forces from Afghanistan, the remaining weapons have fallen into the hands of some armed groups outside the country.
