Bayan News – The Ministry of Energy and Water has announced that the acting minister of the ministry, in a meeting with Murad Artykov, the head of Turkmenistan’s international projects, called for a trilateral meeting between Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, and Pakistan regarding the alignment of the “TAPI” project.

In a newsletter, the ministry stated that Abdul Latif Mansoor, the acting minister of Energy and Water, met with the head of Turkmenistan’s international energy projects on Monday, September 18, and discussed the alignment of the regional TAPI project, transmission line projects, and the Noural-Jihad substation project.

Mr. Mansoor requested Turkmenistan’s cooperation in aligning these projects.

The acting minister of Energy and Water emphasized the need for a joint meeting among Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, and Pakistan to be held as soon as possible for coordination regarding the alignment of the TAPI project.

On the other hand, the head of Turkmenistan’s international projects stated that his country is committed to the alignment of the TAPI project. He assured that it is expected that the work on the Noural-Jihad substation and the 110-kilovolt transmission line project in Herat province will be completed by the upcoming winter.

It should be noted that Turkmenistan is considered one of Afghanistan’s close partner countries, and after the Islamic Emirate’s takeover of Afghanistan, it has expanded its projects in the country.
