Start of the Fifth Moscow Format Session
Bayan News – The fifth round of the Moscow Format session commenced this morning, Friday, September 29th, in the city of Kazan, Russia, with the participation of special representatives from regional countries. In this session, Amir Khan Motaghi, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, delivered a speech.
The special representatives from Russia, Iran, China, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan are participating in this session.
Special representatives from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Turkey are present as observers in this session, but representatives from the United States have not been invited.
The current situation in Afghanistan will be discussed particularly in the fifth round of the Moscow Format session.
Earlier, the Russian special representative for Afghanistan stated in his remarks that he is dissatisfied with the governance of the Islamic Emirate and that, after two years, a comprehensive government has not yet been formed in the country.
