Explosion in Baghlan: Over 15 Shia Worshipers Killed During Friday Prayer

Sources say that this Friday afternoon (October 13), a number of Shia worshipers in the city of Pol-e Khomri, the capital of Baghlan province, were targeted in a bombing attack.

A source told Bayan News that the explosion was a result of a bombing at the Imam Zaman Mosque located in Pol-e Khomri in northern Afghanistan, and approximately 20 worshipers lost their lives in this incident.

According to sources, several worshipers were also injured in this event and have been transported to hospitals.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for this incident.

In recent years, Shia Muslims in Afghanistan have been targeted in suicide attacks, and the responsibility for these attacks has been claimed by the Khorasan branch of ISIS.
