Explosion in West Kabul; Minivan Targeted Again

Bayan News – Residents of West Kabul have reported an explosion in the Dasht-e-Barchi neighborhood on Saturday evening (January 6th). Images circulated on social media indicate that a minivan, a type of urban passenger vehicle, was the target of the explosion.

Eyewitnesses have informed the media that several civilians were killed and injured in this blast. So far, security officials in Kabul have not provided any information about this incident.

This is the second time in recent months that a minivan has been targeted by an explosion in West Kabul. A few months ago, an explosion on a minivan resulted in the deaths of seven civilians and injuries to nearly 17 others.

Minivans of this type are commonly used by citizens for affordable transportation within the city.
