Attack on a Police Center in Pakistan; Ten Police Officers Killed

Bayan News – Pakistani media have reported that at least 10 police officers were killed and six others injured in an armed attack on a police center in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.

The attack took place early this morning on Tuesday (February 5th) in the “Daraban” area, and no group has claimed responsibility for it.

Malik Ayns Al-Hassan, the Deputy Police Inspector of Daraban, told the media that the armed attackers first targeted the guards of the police center with a sniper rifle and then entered the facility.

He added that the attackers used more than one hand grenade inside the center, which resulted in an increase in casualties among the police officers.

The police official from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province further stated that the armed attackers managed to escape from the scene.

According to the report, Pakistani security forces have surrounded the area and initiated search operations to apprehend the fleeing militants.

However, in recent years, the level of terrorist activities by groups such as ISIS has increased in various parts of Pakistan.
