Taliban and Iranian Border Officials Hold Coordination Meeting in Islam Qala Port
Bayan News – The Taliban Ministry of Defense has reported the holding of a coordination meeting between Afghan and Iranian border officials in Islam Qala Port in western Afghanistan.
In a newsletter issued today, Thursday (February 14), the ministry stated that this meeting discussed coordination on border issues and strengthening bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Iran, and exchanged views on these matters.
According to the newsletter from the Taliban Ministry of Defense, the coordination meeting between the border officials of the two countries was held at the headquarters of the Herat Province Commissionerate.
Based on this newsletter, Taliban border officials assured their Iranian counterparts that they are ready for any joint cooperation and the establishment of good relations with the neighboring country (Iran).
Over the past two years, Taliban border officials have held several meetings with border officials from neighboring countries, including Uzbekistan and Iran.
