US officials have expressed concern over ISIS Khorasan Province’s attack outside the borders of Afghanistan

Bayan News – A US official recently stated that the White House is worried about ISIS Khorasan Province’s attack outside the borders of Afghanistan.

Ian McCary, the Deputy Special Envoy for the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, said in his recent remarks that the United States is monitoring ISIS activities.

He also emphasized that he has maintained regular contact with the Taliban in the fight against ISIS.

However, Taliban officials strongly reject the presence of ISIS in Afghanistan and state that the group has been heavily suppressed in the past two years.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Taliban government, has consistently stated in his statements that ISIS has been suppressed and will not pose any threat to other countries from Afghan soil.

At the same time, Tom West, the US Special Representative for Afghanistan, referring to the Doha Summit held four days ago, added that there is a strong consensus on the collective interests of Afghanistan.

He wrote on Friday that no country wants to witness the emergence of terrorist threats from Afghanistan, and at the same time, all countries are demanding the return of women and girls to schools, universities, workplaces, and public life.
