Taliban Trade Delegation Calls for Establishing Representation in Chabahar Free Trade Zone

Bayan News – The Taliban’s technical and trade delegation, which recently visited Iran, has requested the Iranian government to allow them to establish a representation in the Chabahar Free Trade Zone.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry wrote on the X platform today, Sunday, March 2nd, that the technical delegation of this ministry had a meeting with Hojatollah Abdulmaleki, the special economic advisor to the Iranian president.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, in this meeting, discussions were held regarding the implementation and completion of the transit chain from Chabahar, the establishment of a Taliban representation in the free zone, and the facilitation of facilities along this route, as well as the allocation, price, and duration of the required lands in Chabahar.

Iranian officials have also assured the Taliban technical delegation that they will cooperate in the cooperation sector in the Chabahar commercial port.

Last week, a Taliban technical delegation led by Mohammadullah Bakhtyar, the head of international transit at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, traveled to Iran and visited the Chabahar port.
