Bayan News – Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Taliban government, reported on the meeting between Mullah Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, Acting Minister of Defense, and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar.
Mujahid, today on Friday (March 7), wrote on the X platform that in this meeting, Qari Faseehuddin Fetrat, Chief of Staff of the Taliban army, was also present.
According to the Taliban government spokesperson, the meeting discussed the development of relations and various progress between the two countries.
Mujahid further wrote that the Taliban Defense Minister expressed gratitude for Qatar’s cooperation and assured the expansion of relations between the two sides.
The Acting Minister of Defense of the Taliban recently went to Doha, the capital of Qatar, to participate in an exhibition of military industries.
Qatar, which has close relations with the Taliban, has hosted the Taliban’s political office for about 15 years and has always played a mediating role in resolving the crisis in Afghanistan during this time.
