National Resistance Council: We are embarking on new and extensive programs in the new solar year

Bayan News – The National Resistance Council for the Salvation of Afghanistan states that in the new solar year, they are undertaking new and extensive programs, although they have not specified what these programs entail.

In a message commemorating the new solar year, the council emphasizes its commitment to peace, overcoming the current impasse, and restoring a political system based on the will of the people and the rule of law.

The message from the National Resistance Council for the Salvation of Afghanistan states, “In the new Hijri solar year, with the new and extensive programs that the council is undertaking, we will witness the end of the people’s sufferings and hardships, the establishment of true peace, and the restoration of governance based on the collective will of the Afghan people, leading to economic prosperity.”

The council further adds that Nowruz, as a civilizational, identity, and ancient tradition, is one of the factors that connect the common identity of the Afghan people, and it is a celebration that is not linked to or conflicting with any religion. However, it has come under hostility from the Taliban.

According to the message of the National Resistance Council, the Taliban is attempting to eradicate all cultural and historical values of the Afghan people.

It is worth mentioning that for over twenty years, Nowruz has been celebrated annually in all provinces of Afghanistan, but with the Taliban’s control, the observance of Nowruz has been deemed forbidden and prohibited.
