Taliban Leader: We Implement Sharia Law and Publicly Flog Women

Bayan News – Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Taliban, stated in an audio recording that upon their arrival in Afghanistan, they would implement Sharia law and publicly punish accused individuals.

The audio recording of the Taliban leader was released on Monday (March 24) through Afghanistan’s national radio and television, and it is unclear when and where these remarks were made by the Taliban leader.

Addressing Western countries, the Taliban leader said, “We implement the boundaries set by God. You call it a violation of women’s rights when we stone them. Tomorrow, we will implement the punishment for adultery. We will publicly stone and lash women.”

He further stated that the Taliban’s war with Western countries has not ended and continues. “We tell the West that we have fought with you for twenty years, and we will continue to fight for another twenty years and more.”

According to the Taliban leader, all the actions of the current Kabul government are against Western democracy, and the confrontation with Western countries will continue regarding each of these actions.

Akhundzada also said, “Our work is not finished just because we have taken Kabul. We have established our presence in the provinces, drank green and black tea, and the conversation ended. No, no, now we will practically bring Sharia law.”

He emphasized that Afghan scholars would fight against Western ideologies and their democracy, and it was these scholars who crushed Western democracy on the ground.

It should be noted that the Taliban has been accused of severe human rights violations since coming to power in Afghanistan.
