Unmanned Aircraft Surveillance in Kandahar Sky
Bayan News – It has been reported that an unmanned aircraft conducted surveillance flights at a low altitude in the skies of Kandahar province on Friday morning (March 29).
Media sources, citing unnamed officials, have stated that the unmanned aircraft flew at a very low altitude over Kandahar, and it remains unclear what the objective of the unmanned aircraft surveillance was.
This is the first instance of an unmanned aircraft conducting flights over Kandahar, which serves as the center of power for the Taliban, since their return to power.
The country to which this aircraft belongs has not been identified.
Taliban officials have not provided any comments on the matter.
In the past year, senior Taliban security officials have criticized the continued control of Afghan airspace by foreign entities.
