An Israeli attack on Syria resulted in the killing of a senior commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps

Bayan News – It has been reported that in an Israeli airstrike on Damascus, the capital of Syria, six individuals, including a senior commander of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, were killed.

This attack, which took place on Monday (April 1), has been confirmed by Iranian state-affiliated media, which reported that Mohammadreza Zahedifar, the commander of the Revolutionary Guard Corps, lost his life in the attack.

According to Iranian media reports, six other individuals were also killed in the Israeli airstrike, but their identities have not been disclosed.

It is said that this attack targeted the Consulate building and the residence of the Iranian Ambassador in Damascus.

Based on preliminary information, Hossein Jaberi, the Iranian Ambassador to Syria, and his family were unharmed in today’s attack on Damascus.

Sources have informed Iranian media that some members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement were in talks with Iranian officials near the Iranian embassy in Damascus at the time of the attack.
