Taliban blocks several educational centers in Kabul due to the presence of girls

Bayan News – A source tells a Bayan News correspondent that Taliban officials monitored several educational centers in western Kabul on Monday (April 1) and demanded that school officials separate classes for girls and boys.

Simultaneously, social media users have reported that the Taliban has blocked several educational centers in Kabul due to the presence of girls above the sixth grade.

These educational centers, located in the seventh and tenth security districts of Kabul, are said to have been blocked by the Taliban.

Taliban forces have warned officials of these educational centers that they will face consequences if they continue their activities.

Recently, Taliban morality police visited educational centers in Kabul and instructed officials to prevent the entry of girls who do not wear dark-colored hijabs.

This comes as with the start of the new academic year in Afghanistan, it was expected that the Taliban would open the gates of schools and universities to girls, but this expectation has not been met.

Taliban authorities have made no recent comments regarding the education of girls.

The international community has condemned the Taliban’s disregard for the education of girls, considering it detrimental to Afghanistan and its people.
