Bayan News – Sources have reported that Ahmad Hanayesh, a journalist for Radio Azadi and owner of three local media outlets in the provinces of Parwan and Panjshir, was attacked.
According to sources, on Thursday (April 3rd), two armed men attacked this Afghan journalist near the German embassy in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.
The journalist’s associates have stated that he was shot twice and injured in the head and legs.
It is said that Hanayesh’s health condition is not alarming, and he is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
According to published reports, the attackers were on a motorcycle and fled the scene.
Following the rise of the Taliban in Afghanistan, hundreds of journalists have taken refuge in Iran and Pakistan.
