Taliban: 50 People Killed in Traffic Incidents
Bayan News – The General Directorate of Traffic of the Taliban reports that during the four-day holiday, over 50 people have lost their lives in traffic incidents in various regions of Afghanistan.
According to the directorate, on Monday (April 15th), it stated in a newsletter that among the fatalities, 29 men, eight women, and 13 children are included, while at least 200 other individuals have been injured.
According to the newsletter, these individuals lost their lives or were injured in 102 traffic incidents during the four-day holiday.
The directorate stated that after investigations, it was determined that the main causes of these incidents were the failure of drivers to adhere to traffic rules and regulations, excessive speed, lack of visibility, and driving by minors.
The Taliban’s General Directorate of Traffic stated that 19 incidents occurred in Herat, 11 in Ghazni, and 10 incidents in Paktika.
