The Taliban’s restrictions have made women in need of assistance

Bayan News – Restrictions imposed by the Taliban have made women in Afghanistan more vulnerable and in need of humanitarian assistance, according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

The UN agency, affiliated with the United Nations, stated on Sunday, April 27th, on its X platform that the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan is worsening day by day, away from media coverage.

Upon assuming power in Afghanistan, one of the Taliban’s initial actions was to prohibit women and girls from accessing education, working in offices, and engaging in other activities.

According to published reports, many women who were the breadwinners of their families have faced economic difficulties as a result of these Taliban measures.

However, the World Food Programme has also announced that six million needy individuals in Afghanistan benefit from humanitarian assistance every month, but this is not enough.
