Iranians’ Protest in Various Cities Around the World Against the Death Sentence of Toomaj Salehi
Bayan News – Iranians in several different cities around the world have protested and taken to the streets in response to the death sentence of Toomaj Salehi, an Iranian rapper.
These protests have gained nationwide momentum on Saturday, April 27th, as the Iranian government recently condemned Toomaj Salehi to execution.
In addition to demanding the release of Mr. Salehi, the protesters called for an end to the issuance and implementation of death sentences by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
These demonstrations took place in cities such as Canada, the United States, Australia, Spain, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Italy, Switzerland, and some other countries.
The protesters carried images of Toomaj Salehi and other Iranians who have been sentenced to death, and in some cases, they wore masks depicting Mr. Salehi.
Even in Cyprus, while holding images of Toomaj Salehi, they chanted the slogan “Although we are far from our homeland, we stand by our compatriots.”
