Kazakhstan has removed the Taliban from the list of terrorist organizations

Bayan News – Qasim Jomart Touaiev, the president of Kazakhstan, announced that they have removed the Taliban from the list of terrorist groups.

The President of Kazakhstan stated on Monday (3 June) at a meeting of the member countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization that this action was taken with the aim of developing relations and economic interaction with Afghanistan.

He explained that, considering the importance of developing cooperation and understanding that the Taliban government will be long-term, they have removed them from the list of terrorist organizations.

According to the President of Kazakhstan, one of the strategic tasks at the current stage is the active participation of Afghanistan in interregional relations.

Earlier, Russian authorities also announced that the issue of excluding the Taliban from the list of terrorist organizations has been entrusted to Vladimir Putin, the president of this country.

Putin, in his recent visit to Uzbekistan, told reporters that strengthening relations with the Taliban is a necessity, and at the same time, the Taliban controls all of Afghanistan.
