World Food Programme Requests $14 Million to Assist Flood Victims
Bayan News – The World Food Programme (WFP) says it needs a budget of $14 million to provide assistance to those affected by the floods in Afghanistan.
This organization wrote on Monday, June 3rd on the X platform that in the past few weeks, aid has been distributed to more than 64,000 people in the areas affected by the floods.
The floods this past spring in the majority of Afghanistan’s provinces have been devastating and deadly, unprecedented in their nature.
These natural disasters occurred mostly in the provinces of Ghor, Baghlan, Badakhshan, and Herat, as a result of which hundreds of people have been killed and injured, and thousands of homes have been destroyed.
