An Afghan citizen was killed in a shooting by Iranian border forces
Bayan News – Eyewitness sources say that an Afghan citizen who was attempting to illegally cross into Iran was killed by gunfire from Iranian border forces.
The sources named the victim as “Qadir Bakhsh Norouzi” and said that he was a native resident of Jaghori district in Ghazni province.
According to the sources, his body was returned to Jaghori district yesterday (June 21) and handed over to his family.
Norouzi’s family members confirm that he was killed in the border area between Afghanistan and Iran.
However, several similar incidents have occurred over the past two years.
Unemployment, fear of the Taliban, poverty, the economic crisis, and the uncertain future of Afghanistan are among the main reasons that have forced citizens to resort to illegal migration.
