Floods in Bamyan Kill 17 People
Bayan News – Local Taliban officials in Bamyan province say that following the floods in this province, 17 people have died and 10 others are missing.
Saboor Seghani, the Taliban governor’s spokesman in Bamyan, said on Wednesday (June 26th) that the floods occurred in the villages of “Dezdanchashma”, “Hazar Chashma” and “Podinetou” in Yakawlang District No. 1.
He stated that women and children are among the victims, and that search teams are underway to find the missing persons.
It is also said that in addition to the casualties, the floods in Bamyan have also caused huge financial losses.
This is while in the current year’s spring, most parts of Afghanistan have witnessed the occurrence of deadly floods.
As a result of the floods in most provinces of Afghanistan, hundreds of people have been killed and injured, and thousands of residential houses have also been destroyed.
