Maduro Elected President of Venezuela for the Third Time

Bayan News – The Venezuelan Electoral Commission has announced for the third time that Nicolás Maduro has been re-elected as the President of the country.

According to the preliminary results of the Venezuelan presidential election announced on Sunday evening (July 28), Nicolás Maduro received 51.2% of the votes from 80% of the votes counted, while Maduro’s rival so far has received 44.2% of the votes.

These results were released six hours after the official closing of the polling stations, and Nicolás Maduro has been declared the winner of the presidential election in the country for the third time.

This president, who has described his victory as the “victory of hope and truth”, has been in power for an 11-year term. The coalition of his opponents, who had supported his electoral rival in this election, do not consider this election to be transparent.
