Women prominent in Afghanistan are holding a meeting in London focusing on the situation of women in Afghanistan

Bayan News – A group of prominent Afghan women are holding a meeting in London on “mapping a roadmap to navigate through the current situation of women in Afghanistan.”

This meeting, which will take place for four days starting on Wednesday (July 31) in British time, will include Habiba Sarabi, Shakira Barakzai, Fatima Gailani, Mahbouba Seraj, Nargis Nehan, Balqis Ahmadi, Shinkai Karokhel, Palwasha Hassan, Fawzia Koofi, Asila Wardak, and several other prominent women.

According to published reports, these women’s rights activists will discuss and examine the human rights situation of women and girls in this four-day meeting.

This meeting is being held at a time when, over the past three years, women have been excluded from public life and girls have been deprived of education.

At the same time, on the eve of the third anniversary of the fall of the republic and the resurgence of Taliban dominance, international pressures to secure women’s rights, including girls’ education, have increased on the Taliban.
