Trump: Bagram Air Base is Occupied by China

Bayan News – Donald Trump, the former President of the United States and the Republican candidate in the country’s presidential elections, reiterated that Bagram Air Base is now in the hands of China.

On Saturday (August 17), while speaking in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Trump addressed the President of China, saying, “Enjoy using our billion-dollar constructions that were done years ago.”

In his speech, he explicitly stated that the Bagram Air Base, which was built by the U.S., is now under Chinese control.

This Republican candidate in the U.S. presidential elections added that the Biden administration and Kamala Harris left behind military equipment worth billions of dollars in Afghanistan during “the most shameful moment in U.S. history.”

Donald Trump mentioned that during the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, 13 U.S. soldiers were killed, many were taken hostage, and some were left behind.

Trump emphasized that the United States should have left Afghanistan with “strength and dignity.”

Referring to the Doha negotiations, he stressed that he intended for the U.S. to withdraw from Afghanistan but earlier, with power and dignity, and at the same time, it was decided to maintain control of Bagram Air Base.

Trump stated that Bagram is currently under “occupation” by China and that the airbase is only an hour away from where China builds nuclear weapons.

These remarks come as the United States withdrew from Afghanistan on August 15, 2021, after 20 years.

The actions of the Biden administration regarding the withdrawal from Afghanistan have faced sharp criticism within the United States.
