Migrants: Iranian police continue to arrest Afghans with visas
Bayan News – Afghan migrants in Iran, by publishing video clips, say that Iranian police continue to arrest and torture migrants with legal documents.
An Afghan migrant has released a video clip on the X platform showing that he has been physically assaulted by Iranian police.
He claims that he has a valid passport and visa, but the police have assaulted him.
Mehdi Bab al-Hawaji, the deputy governor of Tehran and the governor of the city of Rey, announced in an official meeting this year that “confronting illegal foreign nationals is like confronting during wartime.”
In recent weeks, the “urgent plan to collect illegal immigrants” has also begun in some parts of Iran.
However, reports indicate that not only Afghans without residence documents, but also those with valid visas are being arrested and then deported to Afghanistan.
Afghanistan International’s investigations show that some of them have also been severely humiliated and beaten.
