Taliban Disarms and Imprisons Abdul Hamid Khorasani and His Men
Bayan News – Sources from Kabul reported on Thursday (August 29) that Abdul Hamid Khorasani, a Tajik commander of the Taliban, and his men have been disarmed and detained by Taliban forces.
According to the sources, Khorasani was initially summoned to the Taliban military commission in Kabul, after which he and his men were imprisoned.
It is said that the detention of Abdul Hamid Khorasani was ordered by Mohammad Hasan Akhund, the Prime Minister of the Taliban. However, it is unclear when and from where Khorasani was arrested, and Taliban security officials in Kabul have not commented on the matter.
Khorasani was known as an adventurous figure among the Taliban and consistently supported the Taliban regime. On the other hand, he recently made statements against the Islamic Republic, which may have contributed to his arrest.
