U.S. Attacks Houthi Weapons Depots and Underground Facilities
Bayan News – The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced that it attacked several key underground weapons depots of the Houthis in Yemen.
According to the CENTCOM statement, these depots contained advanced weapons that were being used to target U.S. and international military ships, as well as civilian vessels, in international waters throughout the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
CENTCOM added that the operation involved U.S. Air Force and Navy equipment and weaponry, including B-2 Spirit stealth bombers.
The command further stated: “The use of the B-2 bomber demonstrates the military capability of the U.S. to strike its intended targets at any time and place necessary.”
CENTCOM said the objective of these attacks was to weaken the Houthis’ ability to continue their assaults on ships and U.S. regional partners.
The Houthis, backed by Iran, have carried out attacks on ships in the Red Sea, claiming that their attacks are in support of Palestinian groups.
The U.S. and its allies have previously launched strikes on Houthi positions in Yemen.
