Bayan News – Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, has stated that the war initiated by others in Lebanon must be stopped as soon as possible.
Calling for a ceasefire in Lebanon, he said: “Lebanon is currently facing several challenges, including Israeli attacks and the displacement of its citizens.”
The French president added: “The war that others have started on Lebanese soil must come to an end.”
Macron also announced that “Paris will provide aid worth 100 million euros to Lebanon” and expressed his readiness to coordinate with other countries to facilitate the delivery of aid to Lebanon.
The French president further pointed out that 1.1 million people have been displaced as a result of Israeli attacks in Lebanon, warning that “this will lead to deep unrest in the country.”
So far, more than 2,000 people have been killed, and hundreds of thousands displaced from their homes due to Israeli attacks on Hezbollah in Lebanon.
