Bayan News – Early this morning, Saturday (October 26), the Israeli military announced an attack on military targets of the Islamic Republic in the provinces of Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam.
In a statement, the Israeli military said, “The Israeli army carried out precise and targeted strikes on military targets in several areas in Iran. Our aircraft returned home safely.”
Hours later, Israel also announced the end of its attack on the Islamic Republic.
Meanwhile, Iran’s air defense headquarters confirmed that some military centers in the provinces of Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam were attacked by Israel, causing limited damage to certain locations.
The Islamic Republic’s defense center added, “Despite previous warnings from Islamic Republic officials to the criminal and illegal Zionist regime to avoid any provocative action, this fake regime conducted an escalatory attack this morning on military centers in Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam provinces. Iran’s integrated air defense system successfully intercepted and confronted this aggressive action, with limited damage to certain locations. The extent of the incident is under investigation.”
Some media outlets, citing Islamic Republic security sources, also reported that Tehran is prepared to respond to Israel’s aggression.
A source said, “Iran reserves its right to respond to any aggression, and there is no doubt that Israel will face a proportional response for any action.”
However, some international media have reported that the attack targeted strategic assets deep inside Iran.
