Taliban: Afghanistan’s Agricultural Exports Reached $737 Million in the Past Nine Months

Bayan News – The Taliban government announced that in the past nine months of this year, Afghanistan has exported agricultural products worth $737 million to foreign countries.

This information was released by the office of the Taliban’s Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, noting that cotton, raisins, asafoetida, figs, onions, and saffron make up a significant portion of the agricultural products exported over the past nine months.

According to the statement, Afghanistan’s agricultural exports are sent to countries including Iran, Germany, Pakistan, Turkey, India, China, and several others.

In addition to agricultural products, minerals also constitute part of Afghanistan’s exports.

Afghanistan remains primarily an import-driven country, with a trade deficit estimated at approximately $7 billion. According to data from the Statistics and Information Administration, Afghanistan’s main imports include petroleum products, oils, machinery, vehicles, spare parts, metals, and metal products.
