Transfer of the Afghan Embassy in India to the Taliban government; three diplomats appointed
Bayan News – Sources on Monday (November 11) stated that the Taliban’s interim government’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has appointed three diplomats to the Afghan Embassy in India.
According to the sources, one of these appointed diplomats is Najib Shaheen, the son of Suhail Shaheen, the head of the Taliban’s political office in Qatar, who has been designated as the chargé d’affaires of the Afghan embassy in India.
Sources indicate that these diplomatic appointments were made about two weeks ago, prior to an Indian delegation’s visit to Kabul.
It is also reported that the Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is awaiting formal acceptance of these newly appointed diplomats by the Indian government.
According to the published information, the Indian government is expected to formally accept the diplomats appointed by the Taliban in the near future.
Additionally, it is mentioned that Najib Shaheen, the son of Suhail Shaheen, head of the Taliban’s political office in Qatar, is currently working within the Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
