Pakistan’s Warning to the Taliban Government: Do Not Test Our Patience
Bayane News – Amid rising insecurity in Pakistan, Islamabad has warned the interim Taliban government in Afghanistan not to further test the patience of the Pakistani people.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, spokesperson for Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reiterated on Thursday (November 14) during a press conference that the Afghan Taliban government has not taken effective and immediate action against Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry official added, “The Taliban should not test the patience of the people of Pakistan.”
She further stated, “Afghanistan should not allow its territory to be used for terrorism against Pakistan or any neighboring country.”
The spokesperson for Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged the current Kabul government to act against terrorist groups sheltering within Afghanistan.
These statements come after a rise in suicide bombings and explosions across parts of Afghanistan.
In the latest incident, at least 30 people, including Pakistani police officers, were killed, and over 50 others were injured in a suicide attack at a train station in Quetta, Pakistan.
On the other hand, the Taliban government in Afghanistan has repeatedly rejected the accusations made by Pakistani officials, stating that there are no terrorist groups on Afghan soil and that no group will be allowed to use Afghan territory for terrorist purposes.
