Bayan News – Local sources in Baghlan province report that a young man has fatally stabbed his mother and injured his sister in this province.
According to local sources, the incident occurred on Thursday (November 28) in the Siyah Sang area of Khenjan district, Baghlan province.
The sources identified the young man as “Nazir,” who was opposed to his sister’s marriage to their cousin.
Taliban security officials confirmed the incident, stating that the assailant has been arrested.
Shir Ahmad Burhani, the spokesperson for the Taliban police command in Baghlan, said: “Initial police investigations indicate that the deceased was accused of moral corruption by her son.”
However, a local source refuted the Taliban officials’ claims.

The source added that Nazir lost his father 17 years ago, and his mother later married his uncle. His stepsister was engaged to another cousin, but Nazir opposed this marriage.
