Acting Government Official: Authoritarian Regimes Will Ultimately Fall
Bayan News – Abbas Stanekzai, Deputy Political Minister of the Acting Government’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that authoritarian regimes will ultimately collapse, referencing the downfall of Bashar al-Assad’s government.
Speaking at an event in Kabul on Tuesday (December 10), Stanekzai said: “Oppressive and authoritarian regimes are always the same. Governments built on domination and pressure will eventually fall.”
He further remarked that authoritarian regimes will face such decline that people will only remember their infamy in history, while just governments will be recorded in history with golden letters.
Stanekzai emphasized the importance of preserving the Taliban’s system, stating that those who sacrificed to establish this regime fulfilled their duty. He added that the people living in Afghanistan, benefiting from its natural resources, now bear the responsibility to safeguard the system.
The deputy minister also addressed proxy wars, saying: “Our enemies, who were defeated in military battles yesterday, are now fighting us through intelligence, economic, and political means.”
Stanekzai urged the Taliban to strive to build a government and system that would be recorded in Afghanistan’s history as one that future generations will honor and pray for.
However, despite three years having passed since the establishment of the acting government in Afghanistan, no country has yet recognized it.
