Bayan News – Local officials in Nangarhar province report that a woman was killed by her husband and then her body was burned.
Tayeb Hamad, spokesperson for the police command in Nangarhar, told reporters that the incident occurred on Sunday (December 8) in the Daman area of the eighth district of Jalalabad city.
According to the official, the woman was first killed by her husband, and her body was subsequently burned by her mother-in-law.
He added that the husband and mother-in-law of the deceased woman have been arrested in connection with the incident.
The motive for this murder has not yet been determined.
This comes as the rate of homicides, criminal offenses, and domestic violence has increased in some parts of Afghanistan over the past year.
