Kabul-Islamabad Border Clash; 15 Pakistani Soldiers Killed
Bayan News – Local sources report that border clashes between the interim government’s forces and Pakistani troops have been ongoing in the provinces of Khost and Paktika since last night.
Sources told media on Saturday (December 28) that the clashes are occurring along the imaginary Durand Line, with both sides using light and heavy weaponry.
According to available information, the fighting is currently concentrated in the Sabari district of Khost and the Dand-e-Patan district of Paktia.
Additionally, sources state that residents in these provinces have been displaced from their homes in the cold weather.
Meanwhile, a source from the Ministry of Defense of the interim government told Tolo News that 15 Pakistani soldiers were killed in the clashes, and their checkpoints were set on fire.
Taliban and Pakistani security officials have not officially commented on the matter.
