Special Representative of Pakistan: TTP Receives Money from India through Afghan Representatives
Bayan News – Asad Durani, the Special Representative of Pakistan for Afghanistan, claims that the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) receives money from India through Afghan representatives.
The Special Representative of Pakistan, who was speaking on Saturday (March 16) at the Pakistan Institute for Peace Studies, added, “Apparently, other individuals pay for their (Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan) accommodations because the Taliban cannot afford the daily expenses for such a large number.”
However, the Pakistani Special Representative did not specify who the Afghan party receiving money on behalf of the Pakistani Taliban is.
This diplomatic official from Pakistan stated that previous peace negotiations with the Pakistani Taliban had failed because they were neither willing to surrender nor loyal to the Pakistani constitution.
According to Durani, Islamabad has made it clear to the Afghan Taliban that the TTP is a red line for Pakistan and that they must apprehend the leadership of the Pakistani Taliban and disarm the group.
These statements come at a time when the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan has launched several deadly attacks against the Pakistani army in recent days and claimed responsibility for them.
The increase in TTP attacks has strained relations between Kabul and Islamabad, as Pakistani officials claim that TTP fighters are using Afghan soil to target Pakistan.
These statements by Pakistani officials have consistently been rejected by the Afghan Taliban.
The interim Taliban government has always stated that it will never allow attacks against other countries to be launched from Afghan soil.
